Learning Resources at WEST

The College's 3 lecture rooms and 2 other meeting rooms are all in Bryntirion House.

2 other rooms are available for seminar and pastoral groups.

LibraryWEST’s recently computerised library is well-stocked, with over 20,000 specialist books (a figure which is continually being added to). We currently subscribe to over 100 periodicals, some of which are available electronically. Study facilities are available including desks with laptop connections.

WEST has also received an important collection of patristic scholarship from the library of the late Professor David F Wright of the University of Edinburgh.  The collection consists of monographs, periodicals, books and incunabula on Augustine and other North African Fathers, in English, French, German and Latin.  This will be a major research resource not only for patristics but for medieval and Reformation studies, for which a thorough grasp of Augustine in particular is essential.

Members of the public are welcome to use the library and should contact the librarian for details. In addition, students at the college may use the excellent library at Lampeter.

Laptop userThe IT room at WEST provides student access to the Internet and specialist software on modern computers for language and other study. Wireless Internet access is also available in most areas of the buildings.
The Evangelical Movement of Wales (EMW) have a well-stocked Christian bookshop on site at WEST, which makes the ordering and purchase of books very straight forward. Students can purchase a discount card giving them 25% off their books.
