The Main Course

The Main Course is for the thorough preparation of men and women who sense a call to full-time Christian service or who desire to undertake an in-depth study of theology.

Ideally students follow this course of study for four years leading to a Masters degree in Theology. This flexible course is designed so that students can follow it on either a full-time or part-time basis, and either on campus or from a distance.

It comprises the following two programmes:

BA (Hons) Theology
MTh

Foundation
Not everyone who enrolls for The Main Course has an adequate Bible knowledge to make good use of the teaching they will receive. So we have devised a simple Bible Knowledge Test for all BA applicants. Those who do not demonstrate a sufficient Bible knowledge are then required to take our Foundation module F01 Bible Overview during their first year of studies. This book by book introduction to the content, unity and progressive nature of biblical revelation is a prerequisite for progression to Levels 5 and 6 (i.e. the second and third years of the full-time programme).
