Local Information

Bridgend is situated on the M4 corridor between Cardiff and Swansea in South Wales. It is a fast growing area in terms of new and smaller industries and new housing.

This is a “Bible belt” area in terms of the number of churches where a good expository biblical ministry is exercised. In the immediate area, there are 8-10 churches where WEST students attend and where they find plenty of good fellowship as well as opportunities to serve and gain experience.

• Sports centre / pool just 1 mile away, near Bridgend town centre
• Mountains and large parks no more than 7-9 miles away
• Sea and beaches within easy access
• Excellent shopping centres in Cardiff and Swansea as well as a designer outlet on the outskirts of Bridgend

Transport links
Travelling is easy with good access to the M4. There is an excellent high-speed rail link to London, as well as local rail services to Cardiff and Swansea. Cardiff International Airport at Rhoose is approximately 10 miles from WEST. Bridgend is also served by a good bus network.
