The right doctrine – Reformed, Evangelical, Bible-centred, keeping the Spirit and the Word connected; teaching an integrated framework of biblical, systematic and historical theology from which we can move on to consider the issues of the day. Learn more
The right aims – to provide biblical, vocational training. To encourage students to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength. To integrate the academic, practical and spiritual. To develop trained leaders with a heart for mission. To develop prayerful, godly men who can handle the word of God accurately.
The right people – men and women with a clear testimony to the saving grace of God in their lives, who are keen to develop their gifts and strongly committed to following the Lord’s leading… A faculty of the highest-calibre.
The right options – a variety of courses, at all higher education levels; that suit both students and churches alike, to meet kingdom need and personal circumstance. Evangelical students are attracted by the knowledge that they can pursue their chosen topic with the constant support of a supervisor who shares their doctrinal perspective.
The right cost – affordable course fees with no hidden extras.
The right plans – constantly striving to improve the quality, relevance and delivery of our training.
Firmly rooted in our heritage of Bible-centred and Spirit-driven evangelicalism, WEST is committed to the belief that gospel growth is best fuelled by directly ‘Bringing the Academy into Missional Church’. Our passion is to open up new learning pathways, bringing theological education into church community contexts. For us, this is ‘The Right Direction’, as we seek to equip those God is calling to bring the light of Christ into the darkness of a post-Christian world.
WEST’s complex on the western outskirts of the town of Bridgend in the Vale of Glamorgan is an attractive location in which to study. We are well equipped for the modern student, with a comprehensive and ever-growing library, bookshop an array of lecture and meeting rooms as well as IT facilities that you’d expect of a 21st century college. We firmly believe in building strong relationships with strategic partners who are aligned with our doctrine, values and mission. These partnerships serve to build up one another and grow the ministry into the areas we believe God is calling us to. One of our strongest relationships is with Korea and the SaRang Community Church in Seoul who provide us with considerable support. We are very blessed by all of our partners and continue to seek more as the work of WEST develops. Learn more
